With the Pack

When Eli, Robin and the Wolf Pack (Jude, Gray and Reed) heard about Richard's successful walk to Kehoe Beach they were ready to troop along. Another glorious blue-sky day, we made the trek and made it all the way and back.

From a distance the beach looked pristine clean. But, those youngin's have keen eyes and although there was not very much plastic, they were quick to learn how to differentiate plastic from a piece of bark or charcoal or seashell. They were game so we clamored over the dunes to where small pieces get caught in the dune grasses and had soon collected a bunch albeit small pieces.

Heaven!!!

If this ain't heaven, it'll have to do till heaven shows up.

First time in three years!!!
It's a miracle!!!
So happy to be back!!!

Every day, we marvel at the miracle of Richard's post-surgery recovery. For so long we had been sliding into (and accepting) his disability that we were not fully aware of how bad his balance and walking had gotten. But he is back, with full force and then some. He's back!!!

After three years it was a special day of triumph. A milestone and a stepping stone for Richard who hiked the trail to Kehoe Beach and back. Now, we're in heaven.

Stepping up, stepping out, taking it all in stride.

Awwwww...the sweet aroma of the Yellow Bush Lupine

Richard stopped everyone passing by on the trail, reminding them...
If this ain't heaven, it'll have to do till heaven shows up.

Made it!!!
I'm back baby, I'm back!!!

Richard has to pipe in, not wanting to taunt the gods, "Yes, I'm back! But, only for now, which is the only place we live. NOW."
